Teaching and New Updates

The problem I finished the other day! Starts as a sit start low in the pic and climbs straight up.

What we see every morning...from the bedroom. Good and bad I suppose. No such thing as sleeping in.

The first move to "The Slapper"

I don't have a ton of new stuff to say but I figured I'd send out a little update. Yesterday I finished my second week of the grad program, which is going really well. We have also finished our first week of teaching! I am helping teach a class called Builder's Best where the students spend most of the day building things out of different materials and learning very basic engineering methods. The students are unbelievably smart. The program I am teaching in this summer is for gifted kids so all of them make me feel very dumb, and they are in 4th grade. I also gave my first in class practice lesson on last Thursday. It was for language arts and focused on listening, pre-planning for writing as well as verb and noun usage. It went really well and was a lot of fun.

I also have learned that in order to miss traffic on the way back from the Springs I need to leave at 6pm. This isn't necessarily a good thing but I am figuring out a pretty solid routine. I stay in the springs and usually hang out at a little cafe called Wooglins to finish up reading as well as other homework stuff; then climb at Garden of the Gods for the rest of the time I have! I usually don't have very long but even if its 30 minutes its better than nothing! Speaking of which, I finished one of my projects in the Snake Pit area at the Garden. Here are a couple pictures of a new project. Its really hard and physical. It starts really low and is all really big slappy moves to holds that don't really exist with really complex and weird feet. Anyway hope everyone is doing well and hope everyone has a great weekend!
