The Amethyst Project...Day II

It is now technically Sunday morning.  I spent the majority of today working one of the new projects up near the sheep's nose.  It really is the perfect place to have a project because the panoramic is amazing.  There is never anyone else there climbing.  The climbing is amazing, and its only 40 minutes away.  All great things.  Last week was a normal week, but a good one.  I spent a lot of time talking with Lauren in Kentucky, which is also where my spring break will be spent.  Never thought I would utter those words.  However, as most of you know, the Red is also in Kentucky; so it really is win win.  I will also be spending some time at home which will be really nice.

Last night I went out with some of the other Masters students, which in turn delayed my rock climbing this morning.  I slept in a little, woke up had coffee, watched "Herakleia" (climbing movie) and headed West by around noon.  It was a beautiful day and quite warm.  I was in a lovely mood, aside from the climbing.  I wish the climbing would have gone better.  This problem is just so hard.  It comes down to one long move that is really really difficult.  The rest of the problem is pretty dialed but that move is gonna be not the best.  The problem also tears your hands apart.  The first day on it I left with both hands bleeding.  Today only one so thats exciting.  Sometime it will go.  I just didn't feel like I made any progress today.  One day closer though.

Tonight I went to dinner and to get drinks with KB, Jessie, and a few others before retiring early to finish this painful to watch video.  It is just far too familiar to the early videos of the Slapper.  Fall, fall, fall.  That is my disclaimer.  The video isn't wicked complex or unique.  Its just a work session on the problem.  Hope everybody has a great Sunday and week.  March is going to be a good month.
