Part III

Last week was a little hectic but here we are again.  It is Monday morning and I am having coffee and breakfast while putting off work as long as possible.  The good news is Matt will be here in two days and Lauren will be here in eight.

This weekend was pretty low key.  I obviously didn't climb which is making me lose my frickin mind.  Whatever is left to begin with.  So Saturday I met Nick up in C-rock for breakfast and decided to try the brewery there immediately after.  It seemed logical to go straight from breakfast to the bar?  It was pretty decent but not a place I would recommend over many other breweries.  Nick and I decided to make a deal that I would come hang out in Denver for the day, but we would go back to the Springs to hang out for the night.  Please do not comment on the lack of efficiency in this plan.  We know.  We blame it on the fact that the plan was brewing (pun intended) while we were at the brewery in the morning time.  So we got to Nick's place to relax and hang out before Tracy picked us up for a trip to REI.  I do miss my giant REI.  Anyway we floundered around in there for a little while we prior to going to a place called My Brother's Bar for lunch and other treats.  The waitress was very confused when we asked for a menu.  She kind of pointed at the wall, which did have things written on it however it wasn't all that simple.  The issue was the wall was on the other side of the restaurant and I would have needed a telescope to see the words written on it.  We did order and it was all pretty good.  It was a cool little place.  No sign on the door or anything so I didn't even know it existed until Saturday.  I then took them to a place called the Retro Room which is a really cool place on the north end of Lodo.  It is known for having a ton of different infused vodkas.  Everything from spicy pickle to blueberry and cucumber.  All kinds of crazy things.  After some rest time we packed up our things and headed South to my neighborhood.

We all ate at a place called Jake and Telly's for dinner, a cool greek place in Old Colorado City.  The food is really good, if you like greek.  We ended up having a pretty early night, probably due to the full day of not being productive.

Yesterday I bottled all my beer.  It was yet again quite frustrating and I almost lost my little mind several times.  My beer better be phenomenal because it has nearly caused me to have numerous brain aneurisms.  I feel like I had other stories to tell but maybe I didn't.  I probably need to go to work.  I'll think on the stories.  Hope everyone has a good week.  Matt and Lauren can't wait to see you two!
